The beginning of the Carnival Season annually starts on Jan. 6th , also know as Twelfth Night and ends at midnight on Fat Tuesday(MARDI GRAS). Mardi Gras can occur on any Tuesday from February 3rd. through March 9th. From Twelfth Night all the way up to Fat Tuesday, the individual Krewes hold their Balls. These elaborate presentations are attended by invitation only. Never refer to these invitations as tickets and they are non-transferable. So, if you get to know someone who is a member of a Krewe, you might just get an invitation to their Ball.
