parade routes for new orleans mardi gras

Basically all of the Parades in Metairie follow a traditional route.
They start at the Clearview Shopping Center and leave the
parking lot going east on El Dorado St. They then turn north
on Houma Blvd. heading to Veterans Blvd.

For safeties' sake and also to better control the end
of parade traffic, they turn west on to the esst
bound lanes of Veterans Blvd. They then go to the Crossover and turn right and cross over to the
west bound lanes of Veterans Blvd. where they then turn right on to Veterans Blvd.
they proceed eastward till they reach Severn Ave.

Here they turn left and proceed north to 12th St.
where they make a u-turn and proceed back
to Veterans Blvd. where they make another left turn
and proceed eastbound on Veterans Blvd. to Bonnable Blvd. and turn north
to Feronia and make the U-turn back to Veterans Blvd.
Once agian they turn left headed east on Veterans Blvd. to Martin Behrman where the Parades end.

Usually the only exception to this route is,
that of the Krewe of Little Rascals, it does not
turn on to Severn Blvd. Sometimes in the event
of rain, the parades will also make the straight shot to Martin Berman.
